PhD student Gian Luca Negri joins the Clique project at UCD, Dublin

Welcome to Gian Luca Negri, a new member of the Clique research cluster.

Gian Luca joined the Clique project at CASL, Dublin on September 1st. Gian Luca has a Masters of Science in Bioinformatics obtained at the University of Milan-Bicocca and a Bachelor Degree in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Milan. During the Internship for Master, Gian Luca wrote a thesis named "A Data Mining application to evaluate similarity measures in protein structure prediction".

  Gian Luca's research interests are:

    * Protein Protein Interaction networks
    * Data Mining
    * Machine Learning

As part of Clique, Gian Luca will focus on integrated data analysis for discovery of biologically important patterns in networks of protein and gene.
